The RockJock Johnny Joint Adjustable Length Rear Trac Bar and Trac Bar Relocation Bracket Kit for TJ Wranglers and Unlimited (LJ) vehicles provides you with everything you need to properly and easily address your rear Trac Bar on a lifted vehicle.
The Trac Bar included in this kit features our narrow body Johnny Joint rod end at the chassis end of the bar and a narrow, forged, adjustable Johnny Joint at the axle end. Johnny Joints provide maximum articulation in extreme off-road situations. The 1 1/4 in. x .250 in. wall 4130 chromoly bar incorporates precise bends in the interest of providing maximum clearance between large differentials and the bar itself. Bar is fully greasable via zerk fittings. Finish is semi-gloss black powder coat on the bar and gold zinc plating on the Johnny Joint adjuster end.
Our Trac Bar Relocation Bracket installs onto any factory TJ or LJ Dana 35 or 44 rear differential housing. The extended height of this bracket, combined with it’s compound bends, allow it to place the Trac Bar mounting point back at the proper height to replicate factory geometry, even after your rear pinion angle has been raised dramatically. The upper bend in the bracket also keeps it away from the gas tank in your TJ so you don’t run into any interference issues. Finish is semi-gloss black powder coat on the bracket and gold zinc plating on the hardware.

  • (2) Rubber Washers (outboard of the Johnny Joint at the chassis end to encourage the bar to re-center itself after articulating)
  • RockJock Rear Trac Bar Relocation Bracket Kit

Trac Bar Adjustment Range:

  • Closed – 31.062 in.
  • Extended – 31.810 in.

Fitment Specs.:

  • Trac Bar and Bracket are both intended to be used with 2 in.– 4 1/2 in. of lift
  • Must be used with a minimum of an additional 2 1/2 in. of bump stop over stock

Notes:

  • Welding required! The Rear Trac Bar Relocation Bracket has 2 tabs that anchor it to the axle housing that need to be welded (see instructions). If you do not have the facilities to do the welding, be advised that once the bracket is bolted on, it is secure enough that you may drive the vehicle to someone to do the welding for you.
  • Replace your rusty old original rear Trac Bar hardware with our RJ-510100-101 bolt kit.
  • Trac Bar is fabricated from 1.25 in. x .250 in. wall 4130 chromoly tubing.
  • Adjuster features 1 in.-14 RH threads.
  • Johnny Joints require non-synthetic, hi-moly lube grease such as our CE-9013G.
  • Applicable Johnny Joint Tool for this Trac Bar: CE-9112T.
  • Trac Bar Relocation Bracket is fabricated from laser cut and formed 3/16 in. steel.
